The essential rules
Make new work during the Challenge.
The story and production should be created for the current event, not repackaged from a completed or substantially produced project. Planning is welcome. The actual work belongs inside the official production window.
Audio is the final medium.
Your entry should be designed as a finished listening experience. It may be fiction, anthology, experimental work or another form accepted by the current season, but it must stand on its own in audio.
Work with permission.
Use performances, music, effects and artwork you created, licensed or have explicit permission to use. The team submitting the production is responsible for clearing its materials.
Respect collaborators.
Credit everyone accurately. Communicate expectations early. Do not use the deadline as an excuse for harassment, coercion or mistreatment.
Deliver the required materials on time.
Follow the current season’s technical, artwork, credit and submission instructions. A finished mix without the required delivery information may not be ready for release.
Keep the Challenge collaborative.
This event exists to help people make work together. Awards and recognition may be part of the celebration, but community comes first.
