The story
11th Hour Audio grew from making the thing we wanted to hear.
Founded by Matthew Boudreau, 11th Hour Audio brings together a lifetime of audio drama production, sound design, podcast editing, field recording and community organizing. Its roots reach through Aural Stage Studios, Radio Drama Revival, independent fiction and professional collaborations that helped demonstrate how ambitious audio storytelling could be.
The 11th Hour Audio Challenge began as an October invitation to stop waiting and make something. Over time, that annual burst of horror became a meeting place for creators around the world. The company has since expanded into sound libraries, curated podcasting, education and productions across genres, while keeping the same central idea: people make better work when they have the tools, encouragement and collaborators to begin.
Matthew Boudreau

Matthew has worked in audio fiction and podcasting for more than two decades. His credits span independent award-winning productions and work connected with Audible, The X-Files: Cold Cases, Locke & Key, Radio Drama Revival and the Center for Constitutional Rights’ The Activist Files. His productions Intensive Care and 1918 received Ogle and Mark Time recognition.
The through line is not a single genre. It is an obsession with how sound makes space, how editing protects a human voice and how creative communities turn impossible ideas into finished work.
