Community
Audio is made in rooms, calls, servers and long chains of messages between people who decide to build something together.
The work between the work
Community is not an audience metric.
For 11th Hour Audio, community means introductions that become teams, questions answered without gatekeeping, veterans making room for first-time creators and people returning year after year because they know they will find someone willing to help.
The Challenge is the most visible gathering, but the larger goal continues throughout the year: connect audio storytellers, share experience and make it easier for good work to exist.
Creators
Writers, performers, directors, composers, editors and sound designers building stories together.
Listeners
People who care enough about audio fiction to seek out work beyond the most visible feeds.
Veterans
Experienced makers who can answer a question, share a hard-earned lesson or help a new team avoid an old mistake.
Partners
Companies, festivals, educators and organizations looking for thoughtful ways to support audio storytelling.
How to show up
Be useful. Be curious. Make room.
Introduce yourself with what you do and what you hope to learn. Ask before pitching. Credit people. Share opportunities clearly. When someone is new, remember that every veteran was once the person trying to understand where they belonged.
